Anderson Certified Compressed Teff Grass Bale offers premium-quality Teff hay that has been compressed into a compact 50 lb format, designed to save storage space and reduce transportation costs without compromising nutritional value. Teff is a warm-season annual grass known for it's fine stems and soft texture, making it highly palatable to horses. It is naturally low in non-structural carbohydrates (NSC), typically around 10% or less, making it an excellent forage choice for horses that require a low-sugar and starch diet, such as those with insulin resistance, equine metabolic syndrome or laminitis. The high fiber content supports healthy digestion, while the moderate protein levels make it suitable for maintenance diets. However, when feeding Teff to growing horses or breeding stock, supplementation with high-quality protein sources may be necessary to meet their nutritional requirements.
