Store Manager, Meri Wright
Born in the shadow of the Twin Towers, weaned on opera and art galleries, Meri Wright’s fondest childhood memories were of summer nights chasing fireflies on her grandparent’s farm in upstate New York, while her extended family and friends gathered around a bonfire.
Her adolescence was then spent exploring New York City, the Appalachian Trail, and traveling this country and that, but her best times were spent in Southern California. After graduating with a BFA in Communication Design the call to ‘Go West’ grabbed her heart and she was off.
She spent a short time in Texas before landing in Southern California where she started her family. Not very long after that she, her husband, and her baby, moved to Colville, Washington. It was there that she had a couple more kids, moved back East, then to California again, then back again to settle down in Colville for good. That was 20-something years ago!
She lives on a beautiful piece of property by the lake, in an original homesteaded log cabin. She has raised all kinds of livestock at one time or another. They continue to explore the right mix of animals to provide for their family without baiting the local predators. Meri has worked in retail for over 20 years and is very thankful to have found North 40 Outfitters. Meri especially appreciates North 40 Outfitters’ values, its people, and its customers. She believes North 40 Outfitters has given her the opportunity to share her knowledge, while serving her community.
