Designed to mimic baitfish, swimbaits offer a natural presentation that appeals to aggressive bass in all types of environments. Their natural profile, realistic action, and ability to imitate nearly every forage species make them one of the most effective search baits in bass fishing. This is where swimbaits shine their brightest. Swimbaits were born to cover water. While smallmouth are often associated with rocks, points, and offshore structure, some of the biggest fish in a system spend much of their time roaming open water. One of the biggest mistakes anglers make when fishing a swimbait offshore is treating open-water fish like they're relating to a specific piece of structure. More often than not, they're following bait. If you can find....
