• Drop-Point: Drops off the spine to the tip. Tip height is typically below the center line on the blade

• CPM-D2 Tool Steel (60-62HRC): This powder-metal version of conventional D2 steel benefits greatly from a smaller, more homogenous carbide structure than it's counterpart, resulting in substantial improvements in toughness, wear resistance and corrosion resistance

• Grivory: Glass-filled thermoplastic composite known for being extremely light and durable. Widely used for automotive, industrial and aerospace applications

• Automatic: "Autos" have a button or other actuation switch that mechanically fires the blade open without the user directly manipulating the blade

• Prevent Rust: All steels, regardless of grade or price, can eventually rust. To avoid corrosion, always keep your knife clean, dry and lightly lubricated. If rust or spotting appears, a quality semi-chrome metal polish can usually restore the finish
• Hand-Wash Only: Always hand-wash your knife with warm water and mild dish soap, then dry thoroughly
• Use as Intended: Benchmade knife are precision cutting tools. Do not use your knife as a pry-bar, screwdriver, chisel or punch-unless specifically designed for those functions
• Sharpen with Care: If sharpening at home, avoid grinding wheels and high-speed machinery, as they can damage the blade. Use appropriate hand-sharpening methods for best results
• Tighten Hardware: Over time, handle, pivot and pocket clip screws may loosen. Use T6 and T10 Torx drivers for adjustments and apply a small amount of releasable thread-locker to maintain secure fittings
