The Split Flag is a bit of a divergence from Bob Quigley’s arsenal of very technical, hatch-specific patterns. The Split Flag a great modern substitute for a standard Adams or Parachute that will fool trout feeding on adult mayflies and caddis alike. This fly floats high thanks to Quigley’s signature “stacked hackle” and is very visible thanks to some thoughtfully placed flash in the upright wing. Fish this fly with confidence!
