Designed for residential use, Chapin 80 lb residential salt and ice melt spreader has a weather-resistant poly hopper to fill with your preferred ice melt, halite or small particulates. Supported on a powder-coated steel frame with an ergonomically designed bail system and U-shaped flip up handle, it's simple to operate and holds up season-after-season. The baffles adjust for edge control and the pneumatic tires handle uneven ground. This unit is not recommended for rock salt, sand or sand mixes, pelletized lime, lime or lime powders. A spiked auger helps tear up clumps and keeps the ice melt moving freely. It also comes with a rain/snow cover to protect the product during snowy or rainy weather.

- Adjustable Settings: Gate lever changes the gate opening; recommended for use with salt, halite, potassium chloride, magnesium chloride and calcium chloride (small and pelletized particulates); use the baffles for direct the spread where it's needed and save money from wasted product
