units¹; amylase (Bacillus amyloliquefaciens) 13000 bacterial amylase units² (BAU); amylase (Aspergillus oryzae)
4.4 Sandstedt-Kneen-Blish (SKB) units³ ¹ one PC unit is the quantity of enzyme that produces the equivalent of 1.5
µg/mL of L-tyrosine per minute at 37°C and pH of 7.0 ² one BAU is defined as that quantity of enzyme that will
dextrinize starch at the rate of 1 mg/min at 30°C and pH of 6.6 ³ one SKB unit is the amount of enzyme which will
liberate 1 mg of reducing sugar as maltose in 30 minutes at 40°C
