The Kraft paper back lining keeps the natural Aspen fibers in place and draws moisture from droppings. If you are a new Urban Chicken Farmer, this is a fabulous pad to use with your baby chicks! Chicks should not be kept on a smooth surface, such as cardboard or a swimming pool, without something to provide stable footing. These 9 x 12 sizes are easy to cut and fit and can also be layered if desired. The ECO Nesting Pad can be composted and is proudly made in the USA.
