They wanted a fly that had a longer wing tied with a material that moved and breathed when retrieved. Cowen took this information to the vise, using rabbit for the body material and a translucent polar fiber wing to keep the fly subtle. What dropped from his vise was bigger, better, louder and more effective than the Gotcha, the Crazy Charlie and Peterson’s Spawning Shrimp; an evolution of the most popular bonefish flies from the 90’s.
