Craig Mathews' Micro Beeley
- Soft hackle version of a caddisfly
- Developed on the Firehole River in Yellowstone National Park
- Size 16
The Micro Beeley was designed by Craig Mathew’s as a soft hackle version of a caddis fly. This fly was largely developed for fishing on the Firehole River in Yellowstone National Park. Mathew’s says the fly works really well on the swing or under a large dry fly especially when it seems that a full size streamer is too big and the fish aren’t willing to chase a baitfish or a sculpin. We think this would be a great pattern swung very slowly during a caddis hatch or used as a comeback fly when fishing trout spey.
