In 2014 Drew Chicone reluctantly moved to Scottsdale, Arizona. Although he never wanted to leave Florida the short stint in the desert is where he discovered the coyote and the amazing pelt they have for tying saltwater flies. Chicone said the coyote pelt immediately reminded him of the sand and mixed sand bottoms of saltwater flats. The testing grounds for this K-9 shrimp patterns were in the Bahamas and Belize. We believe this is a great pattern to have in the Bahamas or anywhere big bonefish could be on sand or mixed sand flats.
