The Fly Project Skurp is a nymph imitating a scud or a sow bug featuring a rainbow dubbing body, heavy fire bead, hackled collar and glass bead for a transparent finish. This fly is great for tailwater fisheries where sow bugs and scuds are abundant. The Skurp was first discovered when a fly project crew member brought a mangled-up fly to a tying session after fishing it to success all winter long. You can read more about [the Genesis of the Skurp here]. When the mayflies begin to fade and the trout are keyed in on winter bugs, stock your fly box with the Fly Project Skurp.
