Our twelve stores span three states throughout the Northwest, but Great Falls, Montana, is our hometown. Straddling the gorgeous Missouri River and surrounded by high plains and mountains, it’s the perfect place to work hard and play hard outdoors. Some of the nation’s most productive wheat and grain farms are just north of town, and cattle ranches ring the city. In town, residents enjoy easy commutes, affordable housing, good-paying jobs, and a strong public school system. Primary economic drivers include Malmstrom Air Force Base, agribusiness, energy, tourism, hospitality, health care, and financial services. Great Falls also boasts a strong entrepreneurial streak, and local businesses—like North 40 Outfitters—are springing up throughout town.
Our convenient international airport provides easy access to regional urban centers, keeping the bustle of Seattle, Salt Lake City, Minneapolis, and Denver just a one-to-two hour flight away.

Nearby Outdoor Activities
Fly Fishing
Montana’s classic trophy trout fishery—the mighty Missouri River—flows right through town for after-work access. In addition, the famous tailwater below Holter Dam is just minutes from town.
Hunting
Antelope, deer, and upland birds can be found in the plains surrounding the town. The nearby mountain ranges to the East and West support elk, bighorn sheep, bears, and mountain lions.
Hiking
Sluice Boxes State Park on Belt Creek is only 30 minutes from the North 40 Outfitters corporate office. The nearby Bob Marshall Wilderness and Highwoods Mountains offer more adventure, and the in-town River’s Edge Trail is always a good option.
Skiing
Only an hour from town, Showdown Ski Area provides 1,400 vertical feet, 640 acres of slopes, and 250+ inches of snow per year. And Great Falls provides easy access to Montana’s famous resorts like Bridger Bowl, Whitefish Mountain, and Big Sky.
