Hotwood's Categories-2 Hydraulic 3 Point Wire Winder

Hotwood's Categories-2 Hydraulic 3 Point Wire Winder is a strongest 3 Point wire winders. The ball valve is your variable speed/safety control. It should be used more as a safety shut off, than a speed control. It is best to control the speed from the hydraulics on the tractor. This wire winder's hydraulic motor, provides ample power for hard jobs, like pulling barbed wire through tall grass. This motor will create roughly 12 horse power, that will easily pull old wire up out of the grass and trash that collects in a fence line over the years.

• Always regulate speed of this unit from the hydraulics on tractor
• Always plug valve hose into power side of hydraulics
• Designed for smooth or barbed wire or light cable
• designed to pull wire in to unit ( always have a weight on the end of the wire). A short piece of log chain or the best is, the window weights out of old houses
• Winder frame converts for Category 1, Category 2 & Category 3 narrow 3 point mounts (special orders upon request)
• Removable yellow split reel. Hand spun smooth steel, designed with safety in mind
• Holds 1/2 mile of barbed or 1 mile of smooth wire
• Replaceable moly-impregnated polyethylene bushings on shaft to prevent wear. This bushing has proven to last for years of performance in the field
• Hydraulic motor creates 12 horse power under full load
• 1/2" male pipe ends on hydraulic hose's ( we do not include hose tips )
• Always, start slow and stop slow, to prevent damage to lovejoy coupler between motor and drive shaft. With the inertia of the spinning reel, a fast stop can cause damage to the coupler. This is not common, but can happen if the wire winder is not operated correctly
