The LP600V5 uses four AAA batteries. To replace them, turn the tail cap counterclockwise to remove it. Hold the flashlight with the light end facing down to slide out the battery case. Remove the old batteries and insert new ones, following the (+/-) markings on the battery case. For best performance, use brand-new alkaline batteries of the same voltage and brand. Reinsert the battery case into the flashlight, ensuring the metal knob and arrow on the case point downward. Finally, reattach the tail cap by pressing down gently and turning it clockwise until it is secure.
