Named for the mop tails resemblance to the English corn puff, Phil Rowley's Wotsit or Jelly Mop is an excellent stillwater attractor. You can fish this fly using cast and retrieve techniques using an aggressive 4-6 strip pause retrieve or suspended under an indicator. The jig hook keeps the fly riding hook point up and when stripped provides a seductive jigging action that gets the mop tail moving.
