Propane Cylinder Refills
All North 40 Outfitters locations provide propane refill services. We fill everything from standard 20-pound grilling cylinders, to 100-pound appliance tanks and installed ASME RV and travel trailer tanks.
We'll fill tanks until our standard overfill prevention devices (OPDs) kick in, ensuring the maximum safe refill, and we do not charge fees for purges.
Please note that we look for tank expiration dates to ensure the safety of our customers, and we will decline to fill tanks that are past their expiration dates. For reference, 100-pound and smaller propane tanks have a 12-year lifespan before requiring a requalification inspection.
Tank refills are typically provided in the yard and are available on a walk-up basis. Large trailers and vehicles may want to call ahead to coordinate the most convenient refill experience with our store teams.
