We made up the name because we can't find any history on the origin of this pattern but what we love about this style is that it can easily be cast on you bonefish setup. Often while wading the flats in Bahamas or Belize you may see a barracuda worth throwing at. This one allows for that and you can still throw it with your 7 or 8wt. A tip on being quick when this happen is pre tie this pattern to a 12" section of leader with a slip loop on the end and simply add it to the back of your bonefish fly just like a dry dropper. Many times when wading that's all you will have time for if you want to get the shot.
