The Mahogany D&D Cripple is a true hybrid with body that is blinged out and protected with wire like a nymph pattern and everything else is natural like a perfectly delicate crippled dry fly pattern. Rene Harrop developed this fly as an emerger pattern and it's the perfect pattern to fish 24 inches behind your main dry fly and let it sit just subsurface. If you are seeing fins but not full heads they are most likely eating the emerger.
