The hose, spigot, etc. cannot have any leaks (at all) or the waterer will lose vacuum pressure and leak. Additionally, you must have regular standard hose pressure. This will not work with a rain catchment system, low pressure pumps, etc. as it will not have enough pressure to fill the bucket.
