When the 17 Win. Super Magnum rimfire load was under development, Savage accepted the challenge of designing an entirely new rimfire rifle from the ground up. The Savage Arms B.MAG Target Rifle isn’t simply a rechambered version of an existing platform; it’s a whole new class of rimfire rifle. The high velocities of these new loads led us to design features into this rimfire that are typically reserved for Savage centerfire rifles. In order to maximize accuracy in this long-range shooter, Savage has utilized its unique thread-in barrel headspacing system, rear-locking lugs and a cock-on-close bolt. Of course, it's engineered to be an accuracy machine, capped it off with Savage legendary, light, crisp AccuTrigger™.
