Smith + Rogue wanted a vest that could battle against the extreme weather their customers are accustomed to seeing and experiencing in the Pacific Northwest. The Canvas Vest is tough as nails on the outside; triple stitched in high stress areas. The Polartec Power Grid Fleece lining is engineered to optimize warmth and breathability, while keeping the overall fabric mass and weight down. This coat is designed with a generous fit, allowing for the additional and removal of layers underneath.
Original Canvas is made from hemp fibers and poly fibers to bring ultimate strength and durability to this canvas. The word canvas actually originates from the word "Cannabis" which is the plant that is used to produce the hemp fibers. It is stronger and lasts longer than traditional 100% cotton duck fabrics. Original Canvas is made of 54% Hemp, 14% Organic Cotton, 30% Recycled polyester with a Polartec Power Grid Fleece.
