Skoltec is a 3-Season midweight baselayer, meant to be worn next to skin. Keep in mind baselayers are not primarily an insulating layer, like a puffy say, but instead wick moisture and heat away from the skin. This idea is based on the fact that a wet body is a cold body.
Skoltec baselayers are made of a one of a kind fabric which contains a blend of merino wool, bamboo, and polymide. Merino wool has many great qualities. It is moisture wicking, regulates body temperature, does not itch, resists odor, and is 6 times stronger than cotton. We added Bamboo for an even softer touch and feel. Polymide in the fabric gives the baselayer both stretch and recovery for active pursuits in the mountains
