Premium Smart Beet Pellets

Standlee recommends feeding Smart Beet Pellets to senior, performance and carbohydrate sensitive horses, cattle, goats, and sheep. Smart Beet Pellets are high-density, 1/4 inch pellets formed from dried sugar beet pulp after removing the sugar. Smart Beet is an excellent addition to any ration as a low starch, low protein, highly digestible fiber source. 

Feeding Instructions:

Smart Beet Pellets can be fed to mature horses at at rate of 0.05% to 0.2% of body weight per day, depending on the activity level. Gradually introduce into the diet during a seven to ten (7-10) day period.

Feeding Recommendations:

Smart Beef Pellets are a dehydrated product and are recommended to be soaked in water (2 parts water to 1 part pellet, completely submerged) for a minimum of 15 minutes or until properly softened. If you have questions, contact the nutritionists at Standlee or consult your veterinarian.

Feeding Tips:

• Gradually introduce beet pulp into the diet during a 7-10 day period
• Never feed moldy or insect infested beet pulp to horses
• Always provide free-access to fresh, clean water
• Beet pulp should not be used as the sole source of nutrition, additional forages must be fed to reach a total daily forage intake of 1.5 to 2.5% of body weight
