10 More Days of ATA #1—Cirrus’ Electronic Wind Indicator Offers 2,...

Cirrus’ new multi-functional electronic wind indicator works off vapor technology and provides up to 1,400 puffs from one cartridge. Amazingly, two replacement cartridges cost just $14.99 and offer up to 2,800 puffs. This indicator is lightweight and also functions as an emergency phone charger, via a USB port, and an LED light. You can place it on the bright-white mode to light your path or see a puff in the dark. Or, you can place it on the red light mode for stealth situations. The vapor is available in three scents so it functions as a cover when needed. And remember, you don’t have to shake this indicator to get a wind reading. $49.95. Well good morning. It's day three here at ATA. Just super stoked to show you the new features of the Cirrus Wind Indicator. Last year, we came here with the coolest wind checker on the planet. I... Read more

    Xpedition Xcentric: Unboxing and Review

My friends tell me that bow hunting is the fly fishing of hunting. I can see the analogy, but to me bow hunting occurs at exactly the same time when B-run steelhead eat swung flies in Idaho. I've been interested in it a long time, and I like hunting, I just don't like hunting enough to let it take me off a river in the fall for any extended amount of time. Now that I am a father, a husband, have a small manufacturing side business and have a very full time job where missing it is much worse than playing hooky- which makes my days on the river more limited. It seems like a terrible time to add archery to my list of pursuits. However, with another baby on the way in early summer, this year I decided to throw rational thought out the window and just do whatever I can fit in to 365 24 hour windows. I got a bow. And we got archery selections ... Read more

    Lewiston Grand Opening

Gina Beck, Clothing Lead  "I've been here since Big R bought D & B Supply-I was a key holder there, a lead, as you call it. It's always a nervous time when companies change hands I mean for employees, you never know what's going to happen, who's going to stay, who's going to go- It wasn't like that when North 40 took the reins. As former D & B Supply employees, we were already 'family.' It was that treatment that really made an impression on me I know Renee from our CDA store, we talked and shared the same experience that feeling that right away, the store and the management, they were all invested in us it really felt like the company was 'our company.'  Now I've been here for 4 years, and I wouldn't want to work anywhere else. With this expansion, I've gone from having 6 employees to 16... and our clothing floor space? Almost... Read more

  5. How to Tune your Bow: DIY Bow Tuning

How to Tune your Bow: DIY Bow Tuning

One of the most often asked questions I hear in the shop is "Can you tune my bow?" Short answer - yes. Long answer - let me show you how to tune your bow yourself at home or at the range. It seems that more and more each year we get a lot of questions in the shop about tuning bows. New archers are joining the sport every day, and the interest of working on their own equipment is at an all-time high. The amount of information available on the internet is staggering, but it is a lot to sort through to find the little nuggets of gold that are going to be useful. Most of the articles out there also use some terminology that assumes you've already got some working knowledge of bow tuning under your belt. Shop our entire catalog of archery products, bows and accessories online here. Initial Bow Setup and Different Types of Tuning Because some ... Read more

    3D Archery Shoots in Montana

If you've never tried your hand at competitive archery, now is a great time to start!  It's finally spring, and 3D archery season is charging full steam ahead. Here in central Montana, there is no excuse for not getting your bow out of the case and getting in a full summer of practice on the 3D courses.  From now until August, there is a shoot nearly every weekend within 2 hours of Great Falls including several local events. 3D shoots are something that all archers should attend for several different reasons. You can find Montana state's current list of 3D shoots online HERE. Shoot at Life-sized Game Animals While not everyone will draw tags for moose, sheep, or caribou, it's still good practice because you're shooting at animals that are similar in size to what you will be chasing.  Most clubs have several fun targets well.  Who doe...
