  1. What Does It Mean To Have A "Lifetime Warranty"?

That is a great question. What does a "lifetime warranty" mean? What does it entail? For Liberty Safe and Security Products, Inc., that means a lot of things. That means if you ever experience a fire or attempted break-in on your UL rated safe and there is a need to repair or replace your safe, Liberty will repair or completely replace your safe at no cost to you. Basically, when your safe does what it is supposed to do and gets damaged, you'll receive repair or replacement service for your safe for free. Not a bad deal. 7. Why Buy AGM Batteries from DuraStart?

Why Buy AGM Batteries from DuraStart?

Originally developed for use in military aircrafts, AGM, or Absorbed Glass Mat batteries are the go-to option for applications like snowmobiles, marine batteries and RV batteries. When you opt for an AGM, you're going to be able to see (and feel) an immediate difference over flooded batteries. Flooded batteries, also called "wet-cell batteries," are the original type of rechargeable battery. They're commonly found in aviation, electric utilities, and energy storage or cellphone towers. The battery contains a liquid electrolyte that is "flooded" such as sulfuric acid, a dangerous corrosive liquid that damages what it comes into contact with AGM is different because this fluid is contained in each inner "cell" of the battery rather than being "free-floating" in the battery's shell. Top 4 differences when going with an AGM over wet-cell bat...

  8. Beating the Wind

    Beating the Wind

We are fond of the saying that if you wait for the wind to quit, you won’t do much fishing.  This is especially true along the Rocky Mountain Front or between any of our numerous mountain ranges where trout infested rivers and lakes tend to be found. You can’t beat the wind, so you need to learn to work with it, at least to a point.  It can occasionally blow beyond the margin of safety and reason. Recently, I joined a couple intrepid anglers on a venture to one of Montana’s large prairie lakes.  The forecast called for high winds.  Usually, it is just windy up there.  When high wind warnings are issued, that’s another level.  I would not have made the drive on my own, but these guys were going and I’m always game to fish under just about any condition.  We left early and when we got to the water, only moderate winds were ...

  9. Awesome for your Passion Day

    Awesome for your Passion Day

Randy Faechner has been passionate about fly fishing since he was a child. These days, when he is not fly fishing, he’s teaching English at Paris Gibson in Great Falls. Last week, the faculty at Paris put on an event called Awesome for your Passion Day. Teachers got to choose and present their passion to their students and students got to pick choices from bowling to cooking to tie dyeing t-shirts and of course, fly fishing from Randy. In addition to getting the kids outside and showing them how to use a fly rod, Randy wanted to "impart on the students how important and precious the rivers are in Montana and that these rivers need our stewardship and protection." Those are values we at North 40 hold dear and we are thankful that there are teachers like Randy out there working to spread the message. We currently have several fly rods...

  10. Black Gold: Blue Star Coffee

    Black Gold: Blue Star Coffee

Every night before bed, I go through my routine that helps me prepare for the morning. One of these includes making sure my coffee pot goes off by itself at 4:20 am. The smell of brewing coffee helps me mentally prepare to get out of bed, and the anticipation of a good cup of coffee makes thing a bit more enjoyable. Forget the alarm, I set my coffee pot, and if it doesn't go off, I'm not getting out of bed. Luckily, the good folks at Twisp River Suites equipped our rooms with delay set coffee makers AND freshly ground coffee from Blue Star Coffee Roasters. I was set to carry on photographing late into the night and mentally prepared to deal with the consequences in the morning. After meeting up with our group in the morning, I jumped in the far back seat to work on photos on our long car drive to Lewiston. Sam, however, had a different ...
