Hornady Accuracy

Hornady carefully selected every component to ensure uniformity, then loaded this ammo to exacting specifications to provide pinpoint accuracy. Each cartridge is loaded with either Hornady ELD Match, A-MAX, or high-performance boattail hollow point bullets. All manufacturers conventional polymer tips in high BC bullets melt in flight. Hornady® engineers discovered that conventional bullet tip materials in streamlined, high BC bullets melt and deform, so when you take those long range shots... sometimes you're off. 

Although not a significant issue affecting moderate BC conventional tipped varmint and hunting bullets, aerodynamic heating causes BC reduction and degradation of accuracy, particularly at extended ranges (400 yds +). 

Hornady Big, Dangerous Game

Hornady InterLock and FMJ (Full Metal Jacket) bullets have reached legendary status among safari hunters, and we've raised the bar again with the introduction of the best large game bullets we've ever seen - the DGS® (Dangerous Game Solid) and the DGX® (Dangerous Game eXpanding). Both bullets are made with a hard lead/antimony alloy cone, surrounded by a copper clad steel jacket. These bullets feature a flat meplat for straighter penetration and create more energy transfer than a simple round profile bullet.

Hornady Self Defense

Since their inception, conventional hollow point pistol bullets have performed well, but have never delivered 100% reliability especially in self-defense situations. The patented Flex Tip® technology used in Critical Defense® ammunition eliminates the clogging and inconsistency that often plagues hollow point bullets. Hornady® achieved this by using the same tip material as used in LEVERevolution® ammunition.

All Critical Defense® ammunition is loaded in nickel cases for increased visibility in low-light situations. Hornady Varmint Extermination

When trapping isn't good enough, the industry's leading varmint bullet with polymer tip and streamlined design results in ultra flat trajectories. The industry-leading concentricity of the match grade jacket design provides maximum accuracy at all ranges as well as explosive expansion, even at velocities as low as 1600 fps.
