10 Days of ATA #10—Improve Your Archery Accuracy with Copper John’s New Perfex Release

New for 2018 from Copper John is the Perfex Thumb and Perfex Longneck Resistance archery releases. These come with a three-finger attachment and four barrel lengths, with a large thumb barrel included, saving you money.

So, my name's Dylan Richards. I work here at Stanislowsky and Copper John. We're here at the 2018 ATA Trade Show. So, our newest products for this year are the PerfeX Thumb and the PerfeX Long Neck Resistance. From previous years, we went from the Long Neck to the Short Neck. The reason we did that is from the haft being so close to the handles and everything like that. The cool thing about these PerfeXs is that they actually come with a three-finger attachment and they come with four different barrel lengths and a large thumb barrel, all included in the packaging.

Also, new for this year, for the Long Neck series, we have the String Keeper. This is huge for us this year, solely because it's an open haft-style release with a D-loop keeper. So you can engage the release, as so, put it right around your D-loop, let it hang off just like that. For hunting purposes, for 3-D purpose, for anything. You can wail on this thing and it can't come off until it's fully engaged and ready to shoot. Besides that, there's 35 degrees worth of motion right here in the handle piece. All you have to do is loosen up this little sat screw right here. We see that in the movement of the handle right there.

All you have to do to change the finger pieces is actually take this entire screw all the way out, as so, and then ... Pop! There's a dowel pin right inside here. You pop that out and it comes right off, and you're ready to assemble your four-finger or three-finger piece, whatever is prevalent to you. With the thumb barrels, all you have to do is insert your Allen key, unloosen this, pop it out, and pop your large thumb barrel right on and it's simple as that.

So, for the Long Neck, that's about it this year. The adjustability was the biggest feature that we really wanted to go for. For the resistant-style release, there is no String Keeper on the resistance but it works mechanically, exactly same as the Element. You hold down as your safety, and after you fire, you push up on the trigger right there to reengage the release and you're ready to go again. All the adjustments are exactly the same, as I just showed from the PerfeX thumb and that's what we have new for you, here at Stan this year!
