Fly Tying Video: Guide Strip Leech

Fred's Guide Strip Leech is a very simple yet very effective streamer pattern when fishing for big browns and rainbows in the Missouri River, as well as fishing for a variety of salmonids in Alaskan waters. The simple combination of rabbit strips and flash make this fly extremely quick and versatile when tying the pattern.

Mix and match colors to your personal preference for each season. The rabbit fur pulsates on the strip and undulates realistically during the swing, perfect for any fly casters style and technique. Get the fly wet, then, hang on tight! You'll be surprised at how viscous any trout will attack this fly!
