Grand Opening Celebration for Mead Store

Grand Opening of Newest North 40 Location in Mead, WA

North 40 Outfitters is proud to invite you to the Grand Opening celebration of our newest store in Mead, Washington. From Friday, April 17, through Sunday, April 19, we’re welcoming the community for a full weekend of giveaways, games, in‑store deals, and good old‑fashioned fun.

Over the course of the weekend, we’ll be giving away more than $33,000 in gear, clothing, and equipment - including jewelry from Montana Silversmiths, a full Xpedition Archery bow setup, a $1,000 North 40 gift card, and plenty more. Test your skills with our “shoot your deal” game in the state‑of‑the‑art archery facility - and that’s just the beginning. We’re also giving away a brand‑new Bobcat CT1025 tractor, a Husqvarna 54" zero‑turn mower, and a Priefert 50' Utility Round Pen.
While the Mead store first opened its doors in October, this is the weekend to celebrate our newest destination for the farm and ranch community - home to the largest feed selection of any North 40 location. Designed specifically with Mead and the surrounding area in mind, this store delivers everything you count on us for. From fly fishing and western wear to roping gear, power tools, and hardware, it’s all here under one roof.

This weekend only, enjoy in‑store deals on nearly everything. From our outdoor yard and indoor garden center to our fully stocked outdoor power equipment area, we’re ready for spring—and ready to serve our neighbors.

You’ll find us at 14411 N. Newport Hwy, Mead, WA.

Built from the ground up, the new store showcases North 40’s evolution while staying true to its roots. Among the store’s standout features

  • West Slope Coffee, a coffee bar location inside the fly shop, serving up craft coffee from Evans Brothers Coffee Roasters in nearby Ponderay, Idaho.
  • A broader selection of outdoor power equipment and power tools from leading brands like Milwaukee, Dewalt, Stihl, Husqvarna and Black Diamond
  • Expanded apparel and footwear department with new brands and and expanded seasonal selections for men, women, and kids.

This new location is more than just a larger store. It represents our ongoing commitment to the communities of Eastern Washington and North Idaho,” said Denise Schnider, Marketing Director for North 40 Outfitters. “We’ve designed this space to elevate the customer experience while honoring the lifestyle and values of the people who live here. With expanded product lines and a spacious, welcoming environment, the new store reflects our deep connection to the land, to craftsmanship, and to the outdoors — all while creating new opportunities for growth and community in Mead.

Anchoring Spokane's Northward Expansion

The North 40 Retail Center, developed by Chris Bell and Dave Black of NAI Black, will become a cornerstone of more than $1 billion in new construction planned for the Mead trade area — including new residential neighborhoods, healthcare facilities, and commercial developments. The store is strategically located at the first interchange north of the new North–South Freeway, creating unmatched regional access for shoppers and businesses.

This North 40 development is a major anchor for what will be a regional destination shopping center,” said Chris Bell, Developer and Managing Broker at NAI Black. “The freeway will change the way people move through Spokane. North 40 will sit at the gateway to growth — driving new commerce, housing, and retail opportunities for decades to come.”

Dave Black, CEO of NAI Black, added: “North 40 represents the type of high-quality, community-minded investment we want to see in North Spokane. With Black Realty Management overseeing operations, the center will attract complementary tenants and help shape a thriving commercial district for the region.”

The property will be managed by Black Realty Management, Inc., which oversees more than 11 million square feet of commercial property and 3,500 apartment units across the Inland Northwest.

Construction was led by Young Construction Group of Idaho, Inc., and the design was created by H2a Architects, both based in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

A Grand Opening Celebration is planned for Spring 2026, with additional tenants joining the North 40 Retail Center in the months ahead.
