Savage Gear 3D Goby Tube Bait Review

The neogobius, was incidentally introduced into Nortern Europe via leaking water from container ships ballast tanks back in 1990, and it has quickly settled and populated the coastal regions along the Baltic Sea, from Sweden and Finland via Russia and Balticum to Poland, Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands.

Predator fish thrive on them and they are an easy prey! Read our full review on the Goby here.

Savage Gear took a 3D Scan of a neogobius – Black Mouth Goby, caught in the brackish waters around Møn Island in Denmark and turned it into the perfect lure imitation. Check it out below or purchase it here.

Hi, I'm Mike Bennett, product manager at Savage Gear USA. I want to introduce you to the new Savage Gear 3D Goby tube. This is an actual 3D scan of a Goby. It's the first of its kind. We've implemented it on a hollow tube. This is everyone's favorite style baits for big, small mouth, largemouth fishing. We included the side fins, head details, and dorsal fin of the Goby.

One added bonus is the side fins give the Goby a great glide on the fall. Does not have that real tight spinning tube drop. This will pick a direction and glide out, giving a lot more reaction bites on the fall. It comes in a three and a half inch and a four inch style in 12 different colors.

You see them in the water here. Gives you a complete different profile underwater than your average tube. On the drag, you have the wing movement, the tail movement. These being an injected tube, I wanted to show you, the skirts are all 100% straight. You don't have any diamond cuts, you don't have any shorter than others. They're all perfect skirted baits right out of the package. You can check out the Savage Gear 3D Goby tube at North 40 Outfitters.
