'MOTIV Fishing is a new name for some familiar faces. Following the success of their past productions, former AEG Media founders, Brian Jill and Chris Owens, have teamed up once again with Thad Robison and Jay Johnson to create the next level of cutting edge fly fishing entertainment with their new adventure series, GEOFISH.
In October of 2010, GEOFISH will follow the exploits of these die-hard fishermen as they embark on a grueling 8,000 mile overland adventure across the rugged landscapes of Mexico. Utilizing a diesel truck converted to run on vegetable oil, the GEOFISH crew will travel within Mexico down Baja's remote coastline, ferry across the Sea of Cortez, and continue their overland fly fishing journey along the Pacific Coast eventually reaching the turquoise waters of the Yucatan Peninsula.
With a new obstacle around every corner and the determination of setting foot where few travelers dare to go, the GEOFISH crew must pull together to overcome the inevitable complications of operating off the grid. From coping with severe injuries to mechanical failures and from having to hunt for food to dealing with Montezuma's revenge, GEOFISH will position the camera in unimaginable places and conditions that puts its viewers in the boots of the expedition angler for the entire journey.
GEOFISH will document multi-week kayaking trips along desolate coastlines, off-road adventures into arid desert mountains, blue water spear fishing, and explorations into the mangrove swamps of the Yucatan Peninsula. With 5,700 miles of coastline, 760,000 square miles of rugged landmass to explore, and dozens of game fish species to target on a fly, GEOFISH takes viewers beyond the traditional fishing show to a revolutionized realm of adventure travel entertainment with their Mexico DVD/Pilot production.
