The California White Chicken is primarily an egg laying breed. They are a cross between a White Leghorn hen and a California Grey Rooster. Adults are covered in white feathers with flecks of black. They grow fast and lay lots of big white eggs. California whites are hardy chickens and will surpass the White leghorn in laying and longevity.
