With 10 circuits available, the 50-Amp transfer switch is ideal for homeowners who want to power emergency essentials during a power outage, especially items without a cord like a furnace or air conditioner.
Installing a transfer switch doesn’t need to be complicated. The switch is prewired with 59 inches of cable, 12 inches of flexible conduit and labeled wires to make installation fast and easy.
Your indoor-rated and UL 1008-certified transfer switch includes a 30-foot heavy-duty generator power cord (14-50P to SS2-50R) and weather-resistant power inlet box. The manual switch may be surface or flush mounted.
Need to replace or expand circuits? No problem. The circuit breakers are interchangeable.
Use your included power cord to connect any 240-Volt portable generator (14-50R receptacle required) to the power inlet box, even those with GFCI outlets. We recommend a Champion portable generator.
The rocker switch on the front panel safely and easily transfers power to the selected circuits from either utility power or generator power. The power-indicating LED lights make it easy to determine where there is available power: utility, generator, or both.
A green light indicates utility as the power source at the transfer switch, blue indicates a generator power source, and both lights illuminated means both sources are available.
