Down To Earth Azomite is a natural mineral product mined in central Utah. This unique deposit was formed when an ancient volcano erupted and it's ash settled into a prehistoric seabed creating a complex mineral composition. Azomite can improve plant and root system growth, crop yields and quality as well as re-mineralize nutrient depleted soils.

This granulated grade is ideal for blending with other fertilizer materials or amendments as a trace mineral resource to help meet plant nutritional needs. It can be applied directly or in combination with composts, fertilizers, manures or soil inoculants. Re-mineralize nutrient-depleted soils and improve plant growth.

Vegetable Gardens & Flower Beds

To prepare new gardens, apply 1-2 lb per 10 sq. ft. and thoroughly mix into the top 3" of garden soil in spring or fall. For new transplants, add 1 tbsp per hole, mix into soil and water in well.

Lawns

Apply 2.5-5 lb per 1,000 sq. ft. and water in well. Three to four applications per year are recommended and results may be enhanced if applied following aeration. For new lawns, apply 5 lb per 1,000 sq. ft. and mix into top 3" of soil before seeding or sodding.

Trees, Shrubs & Vines

Spread 1 lb per 2" of trunk diameter around the base outwards to the drip line, mix into soil surface and water in well. For grapes, apply 1/2-1 lb to the soil around each plant and thoroughly mix into soil. For new trees, prepare transplant hole and mix 4-8 oz with the backfill soil. Use the amended soil to fill in around the new tree and water in well.

Containers

For new plantings, add 2-3 tbsp per gallon of soil and mix thoroughly or add 0.5-1 lb per cubic yard. For established plants, lightly mix 1 tbsp per gallon into the soil surface every other month during the growing season.

Row Crops/Acreage

Apply 75-150 lb per acre initially, followed by annual maintenance applications of 50-100 lb per acre or according to specific crop needs and soil quality.
