The Carniolan hybrid bee is a great choice for new “bee-rs” to enter into The World of Beekeeping. These bees show traits of both an Italian bee and a Carniolan bee. Specifically, Carniolan hybrid bees are gentle to work with. They also are capable of producing broods fast in the spring, and they are a hardy bee that slows brood production as they head into the winter.
