The MS 391 features STIHL engine technology that adds fuel efficiency while reducing exhaust emissions, as compared to other chainsaw models. Though equal in weight, the MS 391 is more powerful than the MS 311. Add to that an optimal power-to-weight ratio and you have a chainsaw that’s cut out for the big jobs in field, farm, and ranch. Felling trees, cutting firewood, and cleanup after the storm just got a whole lot easier with the rugged MS 391.

- IntelliCarb™ Compensating Carburetor: Automatically adjusts the air/fuel ratio when the air filter becomes restricted or partially clogged, maintaining the engine’s correct RPM. Uses air from the clean side of the air filter to control the diaphragm and fuel flow, compensating for reduced air flow as the filter becomes dirty.
- Bumper Spikes: Prevent pull-in and provide better control, making cutting easier.
- Toolless Fuel and Oil Caps with Retainers: Simply lift the lever and twist the caps to remove or tighten, no tools required.
- Pre-Separation Air Filtration System: Boosts the efficiency of the engine’s filter system, doubling the time between air filter cleanings by ejecting heavier dirt particles before they reach the air filter, resulting in less frequent cleaning and maintenance.
- Side-Access Chain Tensioner: Provides more convenient access to adjust the saw chain with a bar wrench.
- Anti-Vibration System: Minimizes vibration levels to reduce operator fatigue and provide a more comfortable working experience.
