Hey guys, Stetson Blaylock here with North 40 Outfitters. I'm at ICAST 2018, and I'm in the 13 fishing booth. And it's a special year for me because we're bringing back the Envy line of rods. We've been working for two years to get these exactly the way we want them. Cool features about this rod are the snaggle tooth hook keeper. It's down here below the reel.
For me, it keeps my straps on my boat off my baits when I strap my rods down. It keeps my line from wrapping around the bait keeper when you put it up here in front of the reel. The one-piece hood design, something I really like, it brings everything on the reel seat closer to your hands, easier to grip, easier to hold onto. That's something that's unique to this rod. Another thing is the actual evolve reel seat, this is called the Carbon Divide. And one thing about this that I really like is, we've extended the reel seat on back a little bit further, and it's actually elevated a little off center. That's something that's very unique to this rod.
Makes it really comfortable in your hand when you got a reel mounted on it. The actions are something that's very important in a rod, and it's something we spent most of those two years perfecting. We've got spinning rods anywhere from six, seven, 16 and all the way up to your eight-foot extra heavy casting rods. So whatever you need, whatever fishing you're gonna be doing, the Envy line up has them.
Cool thing that we have done with the spinning rod is the reel seat has a unique taper to it on the top side. And what that allows me to do, is when I'm holding my reel, it gives me a perfect place to put my thumb extremely comfortable for those long days on the water. A lot a times with the spinning rod when you're fishing with it, you're holding your bait real still and not doing a lot of movement with it. So it's just extra comfortable in your hand. Something we spent a lot of time on just to make it as good as we possibly could.
