Brand Identity: What You Stand For

Having a brand goes beyond the name. A brand reflexes the values, the passions, the integrity, and more importantly, the people involved with the brand, from the owner to the consumer. A brand should be synonymous with what it stands for as much if not more so than the product or service that they provide.

We ourselves went through a change of name, from Big R to North 40 Outfitters, and try our best to maintain and improve our brand. However, this article isn't about us; it's about at brand that we are proud to be associated with, even if we are only a small part of a bigger whole.

Mountain Hardwear is more than what their name suggests, though they live up to that name pretty darn well. With a line of products that is designed to endure the craziest of adventures, that really isn't that surprising. But that is the point right there, I suppose. They have created an impressive array of clothes, accessories, and equipment tailored for your next adventure.

Whether it's at home in the Rockies, abroad in the Himalayas, or trekking across Patagonia, that's the point. To go out and explore. To go on that insane climbing expedition or simply gear up for an awesome camping trip among friends. If you love the outdoors, you should go out and enjoy it. No matter what it is, the point is to go on adventures, big and small, to enjoy life to the fullest, and Mountain Hardwear has supported that every step of the way for the last twenty years.

Here at North 40, we are proud to be part of such a group. One that not only supports, but encourages those who love the outdoors to go out and enjoy it. From the crazy mountain climbers and trekkers to the casual hiker, Mountain Hardwear has designed their products with them in mind, providing only the best for the outdoor lovers everywhere.
