CDA Remodel: On Flies & Snakes

N40 media team is on the road this week visiting our Coeur d’Alene store gathering local content as we prepare for our grand opening event. This store team has been hard at it for several months, and they are starting to see light at the end of the tunnel. The changes are very evident from the last time I was here, and this store is looking sharp.

The North 40 Fly Shop, an expanded selection of clothing and footwear it’s all coming along together nicely, and they are putting the finishing touches on the new archery shop. We have to commend this store team for really pushing through some long days, and also to our CDA customers for their patience on this remodel as we continue to work toward becoming a more diversified product solution center for the Coeur d’Alene market.

Today we went out fly-fishing the CDA River and shot some footage with CDA’s Fly Shop manager, Denver Rathbun and store manager Brian Cravens. Both have been around the outdoor recreation and traditional farm store model for many years and are excited to blend these two worlds together. What better way to reflect on where we have been and where we are headed then by spending a little time on the river? Besides, both men have earned a little time away from the store.

Unlike today’s temps, the fishing wasn’t too incredibly hot, but we managed to land a nice cutthroat, a water snake (first time I’ve seen that happen) and Brian hooked with few fish. In all, it was a pretty good day of learning new skills and exploring our local Coeur d’Alene waters as we put the finishing touches on this remodel.
