Who doesn't love a good recycled craft project? Being that we are in the "age of wasting things," I know I love to find things around my house to reuse and create something new with.

Like any rancher or avid horse lover, you probably have a stack of battered ropes laying around in the barn. Don't have any laying around? No worries! You can buy them here. And now the fun starts what else could a used rope be good for?

Well Gretchen and I came up with a few funky ideas today, so here are a couple fun wreaths to feature around your home using upcycled old ropes.

Recipe for Upcycled rope SUCCESS:

Directions:

With the use of hot glue guns and wire, you can essentially attach any decorative element that you want! Get creative and funky as your constitution will allow.

For a festive holiday wreath, cut some fresh pine branches to pair with some decorative holly branches, an antler shed, and a few pinecones to add on top! With a holiday bow, your front door will have the most unique holiday wreath out there! Buy some fake pine to reuse your wreath for next year.

For a spring wreath, add some faux (or real!) flowers with some eucalyptus garland for a green rope wreath!

At N40, we have a program where bring in your used lariat ropes for $5 towards a new lariat rope (good for up to three ropes, or $15 credit), read the full program details HERE (link to n40 blog used rope program)-
