Happy National Ag Day!

In appreciation for National Ag Day, we are proud to highlight our involvement with two great programs that foster the future of agriculture, 4-H and FFA.

"My time in 4-H was invaluable. I have always had horses and been active in many types of equestrian sports endurance racing, roping, and trail. I was on a cattle drive with my dad, I must have been about nine at the time, when I found my first calf. He had been stepped on in the herd and had a broken leg the trail boss gave him to me of course, but my dad only allowed me to keep if I promised to go through the local 4-H livestock program. I named him Norman and went through the program.

I learned valuable lessons about beef cattle and best-practices for animal husbandry. I am happy to have the opportunity to announce that North 40 Outfitters will be continuing to offer a discount to youth members of 4-H and FFA." Cutter Streeby, employee and 4-H enthusiast.

A fundamental way of contributing to the growing knowledge of future farmers and ranchers is by supporting 4-H and FFA. Like the National Ag Day's desire to, "Appreciate the role agriculture plays in providing safe, abundant and affordable products," North 40 Outfitters, in conjunction will local chapters of 4-H and FFA programs, seeks to foster characteristics of stewardship of land and animals to our communities' children and young adults.

As such, North 40 Outfitters will no longer require 4-H and FFA members to carry a discount card. All you need to do is come in and pick up an application form from your local North 40 Outfitters store, fill it out and turn it in. Once you have been verified as a 2015 4-H/FFA member at our store, you'll be added to our system as a member to receive a discount.
