What Makes King Kutter Flex Hitch Rotary Cutter Better?

Hi, Mark Gardner with King Kutter. We're here at the 2017 Fall Midstate's Show working with North 40 Outfitters here. We've got one of our five foot rotary cutters sitting here. What all makes our rotary cutter unique? Well, on this particular unit, it runs a dome deck, so your deck is not flat surface. It's got the dome in it. When you're out using the cutter in the field, all the debris will vibrate right off. Also, when you park it when you're done using it, when we get that rain, all the rain sheds off the cutter.

What else makes our cutter unique over the competition is we run what we call a flex hitch. So your hitch is not bolted solidly to the unit, which helps in the uneven terrain. So the cutter is going to follow the terrain, not the ups and downs of the tractor. To protect our drive line on our rotary cutters, on this particular model, we use shear pin protection. So if you do happen to hit something, your shear pin will give way. And you always want to make sure you replace it with a grade two bolt on this unit.

Also, on the bottom side of the unit, we use what we call a stump jumper. Looks like a great big pie pan. That'll help protect the bottom half of the gearbox if you do hit something. Another unique thing about our rotary cutters, it's made in America. Our main facility is down in Winfield, Alabama, and that's where this unit comes from.
