How to Fish the Berkley Bullet Pop with Justin Atkins

berkley_bullet_popThe tail weighted designs of the new Berkley Bullet Pop allows for long distance casting to help you cover more water. While it can be fished like any traditional popper its balanced weight design allows you to walk the popper in place bringing even more versatility to this lure available in 14 colors and in 3 different sizes (60 mm, 70 mm, and 80 mm). Hey guys, it's Justin Atkins here, we're at the 2018 ICAST show with North 40 Outfitters in the Berkley booth. This year, Berkley's coming out with a new hard-bait line of topwaters, and one I'm super excited about is the Bullet Pop 70. We also have a 60 and an 80. The 70 middle-size is probably one of my favorites, because you can still cast it a mile. It's weighted perfectly, it has a perfect walk-the-dog action, or you can work it as a standard popper, just where you have a spit-and-stop action.

I'm going to throw this on a 6'10, and I love to throw a braid with a short mono-leader in front of it. This thing skips perfectly under over-hanging limbs, if you have a mayfly hatch or anything like that, or maybe if you're chasing bass that are honing brim beds, that's when I'm gonna turn to the Bullet Pop 70. I was able to get in on some of the testing on it, caught a lot of fish. I'm really excited about this bait being out.
