The Event

There are a handful of opportunities to take advantage of while viewing the show. One of the major components is the fly tying demonstrations and seminars. There will be around 40 tiers from the Pacific Northwest showing how to tie their best patterns. This is a great opportunity to show your kids what tying is all about and get them behind a vice with experts. An exhibit hall showcases all the new gear and tying equipment from the best companies in fly fishing. You can look at and examine new fly gear, book trips to fly-fishing destinations, and try out the equipment. There will be workshops covering gear, building and splicing lines, essentials of fly fishing, plus casting classes for all ages, as well as all skill sets. There will also be some spey casting demonstration. Bob Jacklin will be the featured presenter.

With all the presenters as well as fly tiers, it’ll be a learning experience for even the most experienced anglers and tiers. North 40 Fly Shop will have a booth there, so come by and say hello and we’ll answer any tying or fishing questions you might have. Admission is free, although some seminars cost money. Banquet tickets are available for purchase at North 40 Fly Shop, Sportsman Warehouse, as well as NIFFE.org. You can also find the expo’s program at NIFFE.org.
