My name's Liam Shaw with Gallagher Animal Management, and today we're talking about fencing bison and buffalo.

For an electric fence for bison and buffalo, you want multiple strands, at minimum a 5ft tall fence, and you want to use high tensile wire. Also, pairing that with a good, good ground field and as many joules as you can get, preferably 15 or more. Buffalo and bison are a lot like cattle, but you need to ramp up the power, and you to need to ramp up the infrastructure on your fencing. If you don't train them to the fence, you're not going to be successful and neither will they.
